"Imagination is not a state,
it is the human-existence itself."
-William Blake

Once Upon an Imagination is a photography exhibit exploring the impact of nurturing our creativity and youthful perspective. The imagination represents our spirit and is a source of inexhaustible beauty. But what happens when we lose our sense of wonder, when we become too busy to notice the magic all around us?

Reflective in nature, Once Upon an Imagination reminds us that what we seek is what we find and how important it is to keep an open mind.

The gallery will be on display at The Red Herring Lounge December 13th through February.

Opening Reception is from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 13th.

Alyssa Johnson is new to the Duluth Area and would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have about the art! Cookies and treats will be provided.

Alyssa Johnson, artistic director of Blind Spot Creatives, recently moved back to the shores of Duluth Minnesota. After a few years wandering the globe, followed with time in her hometown, she headed North to connect and share herself through creativity and expression. Alyssa is an artist, writer, explorer, farmer, community advocate, teacher and (most importantly) student. Her art draws parallels to the natural way of life, taking cues from the seasonal symbolism all around us. Follow Blind Spot Creatives, Alyssa's outlet & passion project, for more details, art and inspiration.
